COURSE:  WMGT 531 Installation Management Flight Commander Course

OBJECTIVE:  For each student to understand the roles and responsibilities o each element in the Installation Management Flight and how they interrelate to installation sustainability

DESCRIPTION:  This course focuses on managerial and functional responsibilities needed to effectively and efficiently manage Base Civil Engineer Installation Management Flight efforts in the areas of: 1) Asset accountability (real property, financial management, force management and NexGenIT administration). 2) Military family housing management. 3) Environmental compliance and restoration

PRIMARY AUDIENCE:  Installation management flight commanders and select senior installation management flight branch chiefs

SECONDARY AUDIENCE:  DBCEs, other civil engineer flight chiefs, MAJCOM equivalents

GRADE:   Officer – any company or field grade CE officer; Enlisted – E-6 through E-9; Civilians GS-09 and above

PREREQUISITES:  • Primary Audience: o Installation Management Flight Commanders – no prerequisites o Senior Installation Management Flight Branch Chiefs – recommended by DBCE or BCE. • Secondary Audience: o DBCE – no prerequisites o Other CE flight chiefs – recommended by DBCE or BCE o MAJCOM equivalents – recommended by A7I (or equivalent)

DELIVERY METHOD:  Classroom, in residence at AFIT or other designated on-site location

COURSE CREDIT:  3 CEU's - IACET Standards

COURSE LENGTH:  5 Days
