COURSE: WMSS 632 OSHA-authorized 30-Hour Construction Safety SeminarOBJECTIVE: The objective of this course is to prepare civil engineers by providing safety training tools and resources for performing construction and construction inspection activities. DESCRIPTION: The OSHA Outreach Training Program for the Construction Industry provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in the construction industry. The program also provides information regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. Through this program, workers can attend the 30-hour course offered by the Air Force Institute of Technology, Civil Engineer School, delivered by OSHA-authorized trainers. The class is most appropriate for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility (see Primary Audience and Secondary Audience). Through this training, OSHA helps to ensure that workers are more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights, and contribute to our nation's productivity. After successful completion of this course students will receive a course completion certificate and an OSHA 30-hr training card.
