COURSE:  WENV 521 Hazardous Waste Management Course

OBJECTIVE:  For each student to comprehend the fundamental technical and regulatory requirements of hazardous waste management at an Air Force installation.

DESCRIPTION:  This course provides fundamental principles and regulatory requirements of hazardous waste management. Methods and techniques of hazardous waste identification, characterization, accumulation, treatment, storage, and disposal are emphasized. An overview of the new Enterprise Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health-Management Information System (EESOH-MIS) Hazardous Waste Module is also provided.

PRIMARY AUDIENCE:  Hazardous Waste Program Manager, Unit Environmental Coordinator, 90/180 day Site Manager, Quality Assurance Evaluator

SECONDARY AUDIENCE:  HAZMART Manager, Other Environmental Program Managers, Natural Resource Management Chief

GRADE:   Officers: Yes (O1-O3); Enlisted: Yes (E5-E8); Civilians: Yes (GS7-GS13; WG6-WG10)

PREREQUISITES:  None

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  None

DELIVERY METHOD:  Resident
