COURSE:    Industrial Stormwater Management Seminar

OBJECTIVE:  For each stormwater pollution prevention (SWP2) team member to comprehend the technical and regulatory requirements associated with stormwater management and provide the SWP2 team members the necessary tools to support their installation's stormwater compliance program.

DESCRIPTION:  This seminar is presented as an overview for installation SWP2 team members. CESS provides a background on the Clean Water Act's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System requirements and an overview of the current U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) for Stormwater Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity. The seminar is designed to augment the local fulfillment of regulatory training requirements specified in the MSGP for an installation's stormwater program. For those interested in stormwater issues covering Construction or Municipal Separate Storm-Sewer Systems (MS4), a separate overview via web-cast video will be available for your review.

PRIMARY AUDIENCE:  Designated member of base stormwater management team and/or Stormwater Pollution Prevention Team members. The SWP2 team composition varies from installation to installation, however, persons needing this seminar and those who would benefit from this seminar include Facility Managers, Unit Environmental Coordinators, Shop Supervisors, and maintenance/operational personnel responsible for oversight of USAF industrial activities with the potential to impact stormwater.
