COURSE:    Construction Site Stormwater Management Seminar

OBJECTIVE:  For personnel associated with construction activities to comprehend the regulatory requirements associated with stormwater management at the construction site.

DESCRIPTION:  This seminar provides an overview of the Clean Water Act permitting requirements for construction sites greater than 1 acre in size or a series of related projects that cumulatively add up to 1 acre. This seminar focuses on identifying sites that require a permit, obtaining permit coverage for your construction site, developing a construction site specific stormwater pollution prevention plan to meet permit requirements, assessing your site for compliance as well as actions to take to correct deficiencies at a construction site.

PRIMARY AUDIENCE:  Installation Stormwater Program Managers CE Design Engineers CE Programmers Contracting Personnel Quality Assurance personnel Service Contract Administrators (primarily pavements and grounds maintenance)

GRADE:   Officers: Yes (O1-O6); Enlisted: Yes (E4-E9); Civilians: Yes (GS5-GS14)

PREREQUISITES:  None

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Students will need a computer with a DVD ROM drive. Use the "Request DVD" button below to contact the course director to obtain a copy of the DVD.

DELIVERY METHOD:  This seminar is DVD based. Students request a copy of the DVD using the "Request DVD" button below and leave your mailing address. AFIT will mail a copy of the DVD to the student for viewing. The DVD contains 7 pre-recorded lessons as well as reference materials.
