COURSE: WHSS 200 Basic Allowance Housing Workshop
OBJECTIVE: To provide a thorough understanding of the Basic Allowance of Housing (BAH) process in order for members to successful survey and complete their installations annual DoD survey report. DESCRIPTION: The workshop will cover the BAH process incorporating "the best of the best" - the best strategies housing offices and leadership use to make their annual DoD survey BAH submission a success. The course will provide insight into the building blocks of BAH covering the common characteristics of: evaluating the adequacy of properties, establishing the right census tract exclusions and ensuring that your input is used from top to bottom by reviewing agencies. PRIMARY AUDIENCE: Housing Management Assistants, Housing Referral Assistants, Chief of Housing Assistance, and Housing Assistance Program Manager that are assigned as the primary/alternate Military Housing Officer to complete the annual Basic Allowance of Housing survey. SECONDARY AUDIENCE: Senior Housing Manager, Housing Program Manager, and MAJCOM Housing staff. GRADE: E-5 or GS 5 (or Equivalent) and above PREREQUISITES: None SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Primary Military Housing Office (MHO) locations are authorized to send one primary and alternate representative.
