COURSE:  WMGT 436 Operations Support

OBJECTIVE:  For each student to comprehend roles and apply capabilities of the Operations Support (CEOS) element to improve processes and programs. Ultimately the student will comprehend the CEOS role in assisting the Operations Flight Chief in analyzing flight workforce and contract support for maximum cost benefit.

DESCRIPTION:  This course focuses on how CEOS supports the Operations Flight (CEO) in performing sound life-cycle cost management practices and structuring the recurring work program for maximum cost benefit. Lessons throughout the course will stress the importance of communication between customer, engineer, craftsman, and contractor. Specific lessons will cover planning and management of CEO operations, maintenance, and repair workload, customer service, maintenance/service contracts, materials and assets, short term maintenance and repair life-cycle cost analysis, and the CEO information database. Additionally, the course will discuss the importance of working relationships within the Civil Engineer Squadron.

PRIMARY AUDIENCE:  CEOS/CC, CEOS personnel, Deputy Ops Chief

SECONDARY AUDIENCE:  Operations Flight CC, CEO/CEP personnel, CE CGOs

GRADE:   Commissioned Officers, E-5 and above, and civilian equivalents

PREREQUISITES:  Must be able to complete college level work

DELIVERY METHOD:  Satellite

COURSE CREDIT:  3 CEUs in compliance with IACET standards
