To answer the high demand for MASINT classes at various locations around the country, the MASINT Certificate Program courses are being developed online. The first course, OENG 530: Fundamentals of IR and MASINT Phenomenology, is the program's pre-requisite course. Go to ACP Enrollment and fill out AFIT Form 2 and the ACP Enrollment Form. On the ACP Enrollment Form select the OENG530 DL (online) course. The online course has a ten week format with about two lessons, review questions, homework, and a discussion forum each week. The lesson content includes audio, video, animations and simulations. The midterm and final exam are also delivered online.
These courses could also be taken in a two-week residence format at the AFIT campus on Wright-Patterson AFB. Students are welcome to take courses in either or both formats while earning their certificates.

Testimonial: USAF Major Enrolled in AFIT's Graduate Engineering and Management School.
Major Don Baker, 12 May 2005: "The overall quality of the on-line course far exceeds other on-line offerings I've seen at AFIT or USAF PME courses. The video/audio quality is top notch. The editing is professional and the on-screen material changes quickly enough to eliminate stagnancy. The effect of the slides zooming in on hard-to-see portions (for example, the EM spectrum) is very beneficial. The combination of scripted instruction (voice over) and real classroom lecture is very effective."
