HELSEEM

Northrop Grumman-IT developed the High Energy Laser System End-to End Model (HELSEEM) for the HEL JTO code. This product, provided as a C-executable was designed to serve as a ”message broker" software allowing for utilization of data from several sources. HELSEEM also possesses scene generation capability. HELSEEM is a simulation framework that allows laser, sensor, target and propagation component models from various sources to work together to simulate system level, 1-on-1 or 1-on-n HEL engagements. This component uses a combinatorial solid model and combined bulk thermal and surface reflectivity models to render radiometrically accurate target images. HELSEEM is distributed through the Directed Energy Engineering and Analysis Center (DE2AC).
