RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr Polanka's specialty has been on the combustor / turbine interface. Current research stems around three main areas: the development of an Ultra Compact Combustor, film cooling in fuel rich environments, and enhancing the cababilities of small internal combustion engines for Remotely Piloted Aircraft.
