COURSE:  WENV 419 Environmental Planning, Programming and Budgeting Course

OBJECTIVE:  For each student to comprehend the planning, programming, budgeting and execution processes for environmental programs and projects.

DESCRIPTION:  This course introduces students to the principles, procedures and systems for identifying, programming, funding and executing environmental requirements. Specific areas of emphasis include environmental compliance, pollution prevention, conservation and restoration. Document preparation, management information systems, and roles and responsibilities of the Air Staff, major commands and the installation are discussed.

PRIMARY AUDIENCE:  Environmental Funds Manager, Environmental Program Manager, Environmental/CE Programmer, Natural Resources Management Chief, MAJCOM Program Element Manager

SECONDARY AUDIENCE:  Unit Environmental Coordinator, other individuals having input to the PPBE process

GRADE:   Officers: Yes (O1-O4); Enlisted: Yes (E5-E8); Civilians: Yes (GS6-GS13)

PREREQUISITES:  None

DELIVERY METHOD:  Resident

COURSE CREDIT:  2 CEUs in compliance with IACET standards
