COURSE:  WMGT 400 Civil Engineer Commander/Deputy Course

OBJECTIVE:  For each student to comprehend and apply those skills necessary to become an effective Civil Engineer Commander/Base Civil Engineer.

DESCRIPTION:  Curriculum includes personal skills, effectiveness through others' skills, and updates on all aspects of civil engineer management and functional responsibilities. Lessons directed toward updating students, concerning areas of change, are taught by guest lecturers from the Air Staff, the Air Force Civil Engineer Support Agency and personnel in other senior management positions.

PRIMARY AUDIENCE:  Base Civil Engineer, Deputy Base Civil Engineer, Civil Engineer squadron commander, Civil Engineer squadron commander selectee

GRADE:   Officers: Yes (O4-O6); Enlisted: No; Civilians: Yes (GS11-GS15)

PREREQUISITES:  Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Graduates may repeat attendance after three years minimum experience

COURSE CREDIT:  4 CEUs in compliance with IACET standards

COURSE LENGTH:  2 weeks to include Incident Management Course (formerly On-Scene Commanders' Course)
