COURSE:  WMGT 420 Programs Flight Commanders' Course

OBJECTIVE:  For each student to understand the functional responsibilities of the flight chief, to comprehend the interdependency of the flight chief as a member of the base civil engineer team, and to apply functional skills and team principles to realistic problem scenarios.

DESCRIPTION:  Functional responsibilities are covered including base comprehensive planning, programming, design schedules, project management, contracts, and computer information management systems. Effective team principles are presented and students apply these principles during problem solving exercises. The course will have a means of assessment.

PRIMARY AUDIENCE:  Programs Flight Chief

SECONDARY AUDIENCE:  MAJCOM Program Manager, Deputy Base Civil Engineer

GRADE:   Officers: Yes (O1-O4); Enlisted: No; Civilians: Yes (GS11-GS13)

PREREQUISITES:  Bachelor's degree

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Graduates may repeat attendance after three years minimum experience.

DELIVERY METHOD: 

This course has been cancelled for FY 12. In light of recent transformation announcements, the business of this flight has changed substantially. We will work with the appropriate staffs and expect to re-schedule this course in early FY 13. Thank you for your interest.
