COURSE: WMSS 100 AF-Wide Building Information Modeling (BIM) Seminar
OBJECTIVE: To familiarize attendees with the Air Force civil engineering initiative of implementing Building Information Modeling to improve architecture, engineering, and asset management. DESCRIPTION: This seminar will provide an introductory overview of what progress has been made with respect to Building Information Modeling since its kickoff in 2009 and inclusion in FY10 vertical MILCON designs. Additionally, users will see a demonstration of BIM software (Autodesk’s Revit) similar to the hands-on experience attendees received at three recent BIM 3-day seminars at Lackland, Nellis, and Langley accomplished under the Autodesk BPA. PRIMARY AUDIENCE: Architects, engineers, 3E5s, asset managers, and SABER. SECONDARY AUDIENCE: BCE's, Engineering Flight Chiefs, Operations Flight Chiefs, Maintenance Chiefs, Communications personnel, and any personnel working on IT systems.
