MASINT Journal:

The MASINT Research Journal provides a forum for the communication of classified MASINT research and development across the Intelligence community.  The journal will be technical in nature and relate to the functional areas of MASINT including radar, thermal, infrared, materials, biometrics, acoustics, electro-optics, lasers, nuclear, radiation detection, radio-frequency, seismic systems, and material sampling.

The journal will contain both peer reviewed and non-peer reviewed technical notes and studies.  The basic criterion for publication will be simple:  papers must be technical in nature, relevant to intelligence, and appropriately releasable to the general readership audience.

Please follow the criterion below if you would like to submit an unclassified Technical Note or Study through the non-peer reviewed channel:

• Please submit your paper in MS Word, Adobe Acrobat PDF, or some other common word processing format.
• There is no set length on the paper however please make sure that it fully addresses the subject.  Since technical notes do not go through a formal peer-review process, it will be up to the submitter to ensure all errors are corrected.
• The paper should include an abstract or summary.  This information will be included in the document's meta-card.
• The Meta-data entry form must be completed for each paper submitted.  Please save this (filliable) pdf form to your hard drive, or complete it on-line and then print it or save it to your hard-drive, and re-submit with your paper.

The Journal is sponsored by the Wright-Patterson AFB MASINT Development Consortium (WMDC) with the CMSR providing oversight of the peer review process. Peer reviewed and non-peer reviewed papers will be hosted on appropriate computer networks by the National Air and Space Intelligence Center’s MASINT Division.
