Previous OpTech Project OpTech Eagle-I Project EAGLE-I ("Eagle Eye") is an add-on computer targeting system for tactical aviation. Aircrews can have futuristic network-centric warfare capability today, simply by adding some very inexpensive hardware (commercially available computers, wireless comm, and some custom aircraft interfaces), and some custom 3D mapping software. EAGLE-I assembles data from all aircraft within a tactical area, and provides each aircraft with a common 3D operating picture using overhead map overlays, "John Madden" whiteboards, and most importantly, overlaying the real-time sensor data from the aircraft in the strike package. Aircrews can now have confidence that what they see in their targeting system is what they are supposed to attack.
