The MASINT/AGI Research Journal

The MASINT and Advanced Geospatial Intelligence (MASINT/AGI) Research Journal provides a forum for the communication of classified MASINT/AGI research and development across the Intelligence Community. The journal is technical in nature and relates to the functional areas of MASINT/AGI including radar, thermal, infrared, materials, biometrics, acoustics, electro-optics, lasers, nuclear, radiation detection, radio-frequency, seismic systems, and material sampling.

The journal contains both a peer reviewed and a non-peer reviewed technical notes and studies. The basic criterion for publication is simple: submissions must be technical in nature, relate to intelligence, and be appropriately releasable to the general readership audience.

In addition to classified articles and manuscripts, the journal contains unclassified, relevant articles and studies. Please follow the criterion below if you would like to submit an unclassified Technical Note or Study through the non-peer reviewed channel:

  • Please submit your paper in MS Word, Adobe Acrobat PDF, or some other common word processing format
  • There is no set length on the paper. However please make sure that it fully addresses the subject. Since technical notes do not go through the formal peer-review process, it will be up to the submitter to ensure all errors are corrected.
  • The paper should include an abstract or summary. This information will be included in the meta-card.
  • The Metadata Entry Form must be completed for each paper submitted. Please save this Metadata Form (fill able) pdf form to your hard drive or complete it on-line and then print it or save it to your hard-drive. The Metadata Entry Form must be submitted.
  • Once you have completed the Metadata Entry Form you can email your paper to:
    William Mohn
    E-Mail William Mohn

The Journal is sponsored by the Wright-Patterson MASINT/AGI Development Consortium (WPMDC) with the CTISR providing oversight of the peer review process. Peer reviewed and non-peer reviewed papers will be hosted on appropriate computer networks by the National Air and Space Intelligence Center.

The CTISR is actively seeking manuscript reviewers in a broad range of technical areas. If you are interested, please contact the CTISR.
