OVERVIEW
The Air Force Institute of Technology, in conjunction with partner institutions, offers a number of research assistantships to help qualified students meet the cost of their graduate studies. Scholarships and fellowships are available through the Dayton Area Graduate Studies Institute (DAGSI). AFIT engages the services of Research Assistants (RAs) who are pursuing a degree at other academic institutions through a contract with the Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE). Many AFIT professors are able to directly support RAs and post-docs from their research grants. RA opportunities are also available for undergraduates under AFIT’s Excellence in Engineering & Science Summer Internship (E2S2I) program.
