REGISTRATION INFORMATION

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

The deadline for early registration is 26 September 2008. The registration fees are $35.00 for members of APS and affiliated societies including the American Chemical Society (ACS) and $55.00 for non-members. There is no registration fee for students but they need to register for the meeting. A late fee of $10.00 is assessed after the early registration deadline. Please note that the deadline for abstract submission is 15 September 08.

Registration is available through our on-line form provided here. Note that all payments (check or money order) must be mailed in and received by us as soon as possible following receipt of your registration information. The amount will be provided on a confirmation page (and email) displayed after you submit your registration.  Registration is not final until fees are collected. Unfortunately, we cannot accept credit card or debit card payments. Your check or money order must be addressed to WSU-Physics-OSAPS. Do not send cash by mail.

Banquet Information

The cost for the banquet is $35.00 for non-students and $15.00 for students. Banquet reservations must be made by 26 September 2008. The choices include Eggplant Parmesan (vegetarian), Chicken Marsala, and NY Strip Steak. However, we can attempt to accommodate special dietary restrictions. Please contact any meeting co-chair if you have such a need.

Saturday Lunch

A box lunch will be available for AAPT meeting attendees for the cost of $7.50 and includes a drink. Other meeting attendees are welcome to purchase a box lunch if desired.

Travel Grant for Students

The Ohio-Region Section will provide a limited number of travel grants for students to attend this meeting. A maximum of $100 may be awarded to any individual student for travel. However, the student must present results from his or her own research in either an oral or poster session of the meeting to qualify for the grant.

If you are interested in a travel grant, please complete the application form here and follow the instructions for mailing. Each applicant will be notified of the status of his or her request at least two weeks prior to the meeting (so that travel plans can be arranged). Each student so selected may be reimbursed, after the meeting, for expenses up to a maximum of $100. Preference will be given to those students who have not received an OSAPS Travel Grant in the current academic year.
