Welcome to the Graduate School of Engineering & Management
Base Access for Visitors

The Graduate School of Engineering & Management extends a warm welcome to visitors!

Escorted Visitors
Visitors who do not already possess an appropriate access badge or documentation to enter a military installation must be escorted on base and to AFIT by a properly credentialed person, in which no base pass is required.

Unescorted Visitors
Report to the Wright Patterson Air Force Area B Visitor Center, Bldg 58 to obtain a pre-arranged visitor pass. Visitors needing base passes should contact our staff at (937) 255-3636 x (plus extension for department or office being visited), at least one workday prior to the anticipated visit. This allows us time to coordinate with the Area B Visitor Center, so that a visitor’s pass will be waiting for you.

International Visitors
Visits from persons who are not United States citizens require approval by AFIT’s Foreign Disclosure Office, following coordination with the respective embassy and local agencies. Therefore, non-U.S. citizens should contact us at minimum 30 days prior to an anticipated visit.

Visitor Center Hours of Operation
The Visitor Center is adjacent to gate 1B. As of March 2009, hours of operation are Monday-Friday 6:15-3:15, closed weekends and holidays.

Information Needed
Visitors should know the full name of the person they are visiting, their sponsor’s phone number, and sponsor’s building address.
