Step 2: Obtain Network Account

After you have been notified that you have been accepted into your AFIT program, you should obtain an AFIT network account. Although many courses will not require access to the AFIT network, a few of them will. Moreover, some resources (such as end-of-course critiques, e.g.), are accessible via the AFIT network.

To obtain an AFIT network account, you need to accomplish three steps:

  • Complete a Request for Computer Resources Form (AFIT Form 35) This form can be accessed the AFIT intranet.
  • Submit copy of your IA training certificate, your annual info assurance training.
  • Submit a copy of a photo ID with your name and SSN (usually your CAC card).

NOTE: Your account will expire when your IA training certificate expires. When you re-accomplish your IA training, please be sure to send a copy of your new certificate to AFIT’s Extension Services office, to prevent temporary disabling of your account!
