  Capital Teehe Department of Mathematics and Statistics is one of six departments in the Graduate School of Engineering and Management and conducts graduate classes for practically every program in the Institute. The department faculty consists of approximately half civilian and half military, all actively engaged in research on problems in applied mathematics.

AFIT is a partner in the Dayton Area Graduate Studies sunsetInstitute (DAGSI), a consortium of local schools of engineering, which provides stipends of up to $18,000 per year for graduate study. Numerous scholarships are also available through DAGSI to cover the cost of tuition. Occasionally, research assistantships supported by research grants to faculty are also available.
