The International Military Student Officer arranges Field Studies Programs to ensure that international Officers return home with an understanding of the responsibility of governments to protect, preserve, and respect the rights of all individuals. The Field Studies Programs include activities and events that support the following values:

• Internationally recognized human rights.
• The democratic ideals of an elected government and effective civil-military relations that reinforce the ideal of government by the people.
• The roles and interrelationships of a culturally, ethically, economically, and socially diverse population in a democratic society.
• The United States free enterprise system and its role in a democratic society.
