AFIT’s research programs complement our graduate education programs, allowing students to develop enhanced understanding of their disciplines’ fundamental principles as well as appreciation of the most pressing unanswered questions. Consistent with the AFIT mission, our basic and applied research projects primarily focus on problems related to current or anticipated Air Force and Department of Defense needs.
Our research accomplishments are highlighted on each department’s webpage and in the AFIT Graduate School of Engineering and Management Annual Report. Comprehensive listings of our publications, external funding and faculty credentials appear in the school’s Research Report.
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs facilitates AFIT’s many active research collaborations with Air Force and Department of Defense organizations, non-DoD federal agencies, universities and corporate partners. Please contact us or at 937-255-3633, if you have any questions about the information on our research website or are interested in pursuing a new research partnership with AFIT.
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs is a centralized administrative unit reporting to the Dean for Research. The office provides support to the AFIT's sponsored research and education programs and institutional research program.
