JOURNAL ARTICLES

Journal Articles are articles that appear in journal, serial, or periodical sources. Most citations will include a volume number (v), issue number (n), date and page numbers.  Most journals or serial titles have a unique International Standard Subscription Number (ISSN).

Look for journal articles in AFIT’s wide selection of databases. From the library’s homepage select Database Quick Links or All Research Databases to locate the databases below:

The following databases offer mostly abstracts with some full-text, but are specialized and index a large number of journals. Don't overlook them!

  Search many of our major databases at once for articles in various subject areas, using the Library's 360 Search. If the article is available full-text, a link will be provided.

LOCATING SPECIFIC JOURNALS

  Use this feature on the library’s homepage to see if a journal is available in print at the library or online.      

LOCATING JOURNALS IN PRINT

• AFIT/AFRL Library Catalog
  The library catalog is another way to verify if the library has the journal in hardcopy. 

INTERLIBRARY LOAN

If you could not locate the article you need online, and we do not own the journal the article appears in, you may submit an INTERLIBRARY LOAN  request by clicking on  Interlibrary Loan Requests  on the library’s homepage. This service is only for AFIT Students, Faculty, and Staff.
