Here is a list of the sources for electronic books for the AFIT community:
· AMS Books Online, selected titles from the American Mathematical Society.
· Books 24x7. Read current computer, business, IT, management and leadership books online via the AF Portal! Books 24x7 offers an impressive list of titles, available instantly, on any computer (CAC login is preferred). Just log into the AF Portal, search for "IT E-Learning", then click on the Books 24x7 link from the Skillsoft page.
· eBooks and Audiobooks on EBSCOhost. [select eBooks link from the EBSCOhost menu] This database was formerly netLibrary. We suggest creating a MyEBSCOhost account to track your favorite e-books at this site.
· IGI Global. E-book collections in supply chain management, business intelligence, cyber warfare, and other areas.
· Lecture Notes in Computer Science. A core resource for computer scientists and engineers, and a useful and relevant book series for related fields. Individual volumes are peer-reviewed conference proceedings. The library currently has full-text access to all LCNS titles published in 2010 and 2011.
· Morgan &Claypool Synthesis Digital Library. Synthesis is an innovative information service for the research, development, and educational community in engineering and computer science. The basic components of the collection are 50- to 100-page "Lectures"; self-contained electronic books that synthesize an important research or development topic, authored by an expert contributor to the field.
· NASA Aeronautical E-books. Many of the biggest achievements in aeronautics research are chronicled in these books, highlighting discoveries and adventures that have influenced the experience of flight for millions of people.
· The Online Books Page, facilitates access to books that are freely readable over the Internet.
· Patty's Industrial Hygiene, Patty's has served as the standard reference for occupational health and toxicology professionals.
· Safari Online Computer Books, sign up for your personal account to Safari Books Online. Safari offers the latest titles on the most popular software and operating platforms. Use the "self registration" area on the right side of the screen to set up your account. Due to very high demand, Safari account holders must log in periodically to avoid account deletion.
· ScienceDirect e-books. [New!] The library currently has full-text access to e-books in several subject areas, published by Elsevier in 2010 and 2011.
