Description:
A doctrine based course that addresses the roles and responsibilities of all expeditionary combat support personnel deployed to support the full range of military operations. It addresses how Air Force logisticians, together with other combat support forces, create and sustain capability in a joint theater of operations. The focus is on the operational and tactical level of logistics support. This course is designed for personnel assigned to the following career fields: logistics readiness, maintenance and munitions, contingency contracting, supply and transportation. The course is also suited for personnel in the civil engineering, services, security forces, communications, medical intelligence, and operations planning career files that must have knowledge of or interact with combat support and combat sustainment operations. The course includes informal lectures, guided discussions, case studies and a short team research project with oral presentation. (NOTE: This is a 5 day course)

Target Audience:
The course is open to officers in the ranks of Second Lieutenant through Captain, non-commissioned officers in the grades of Staff Sergeant through Senior Master Sergeant, and civilian personnel in the grades of GS-9 through GS-12. It is designed for personnel in a logistics or combat support career field assigned to an operational logistics position at base level through joint and unified commands. The course is not recommended for personnel assigned to acquisition logistics positions.
