AFIT Kettering Campus,
3100 Research Blvd (Pod 3)
Kettering, Ohio 45420-4022
Local radio stations with good traffic updates are 107.7 FM and 99.9 FM. Typical trouble areas between WPAFB and AFIT/LS are I-675, the I-675 and US-35 interchange, the I-675 exit to Indian Ripple and Dorothy Lane, I-675 “near the exist to WPAFB,” and Woodman Drive. It is possible to get from base billeting to Hi-Way 844 via Gate 15A, though the route is not very direct. A reasonable alternative is to exit the base via Gate 12A (a.k.a. “the main gate” and “the Headquarters gate”), turn right, drive about a quarter mile, and take the entrance ramp to H-Way 844. Hi-Way 844 will merge into I-675. You want to take I-675 South. If you are making the drive during the morning rush hour, when you merge onto I-675 you’ll probably want to get and stay “LEFT” to avoid the traffic trying to exit on the right at the WPAFB exchanges.
The Most Direct Route is to take I-675 to West US-35 towards Dayton (Exit 13). After merging onto US-35, the next exit is Woodman Drive. Take that exit, stay left, and turn left onto Woodman Drive. Research Blvd is approximately 1.6 miles ahead. Turn left onto Research Blvd. There is a stoplight at the intersection of Research and Founders – go straight at that light. The entrance to 3100 Research Blvd is just under 0.2 miles past that intersection on the right. Look for the 3100 address marquee.
An Alternate Route is to stay on I-675 past the US-35 interchange and take the Indian Ripple Road and Dorothy Lane exit (Exit 10). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Dorothy Lane. Drive Approximately 0.5 mile, passing the K-Mart and turn right onto County Line Road at the stoplight. Drive approximately 1.5 miles and turn left onto Research Blvd at the stoplight. 3100 will be the first left turn.
Parking

Student Parking: Once you turn into the driveway the first street to the right will take you to student parking. Make the first right and park in the lot marked “employee” parking. At the front of the lot is a walkway that will take you into the building main entrance. Once inside turn right, pass thru the first set of double doors. After that classrooms will either be thru the glass doors straight ahead (pod 2) or down the hall and thru the glass doors on your left (pod 3). Check the sign board for classroom info.Transportation
Visitor Parking: ocated In the first lot on the left and adjacent on the right from the 3100 Research Blvd driveway. It is clearly marked. Once you park in one of the visitor lots, take the sidewalks next to the cobblestone circle drive (no parking in the circle drive – that is for deliveries and drop offs only) and turn left. You’ll see the main entrance into the building ahead.
Overflow Parking: Located in the lots across and behind the right visitor lot. This is only accessible by existing the Research Park entry (go back) and enter the first right road as you enter the 3100 Research Park driveway from Research Blvd. This is actually your second left when you exit from the main entry circle drive. Paved walkways lead to the main entrance. Once inside, go to your right and through the glass double doors. Follow the signs. AFIT/LS is located on the first floor and our classrooms are on the second floor. The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) is located on the third floor.
DV Parking Lot: Located in the rear of Pod 3; entrance is accessible by continuing completely around the parameter road heading towards the back side of Pod 3 pass the service dock and rear of Pod 2. Turn left into the Pod 3 rear parking lot. Park other than in the marked reserve slots and enter the Pod via the double glass doors. LS is located on the first floor to your far right corner. Parking is also available either in the over flow lots adjacent to the rear of Pod 2 and 3, facing South.
