    08/12/08: “Sure, In Fact, Here’s a Quarter”
    The School of Systems and Logistics has turned the corner on our financial depression. Thanks to the quality of our current and previous work and the reputation we’ve established, we have more paying customers and sponsors than ever before, and what looks like a steady stream of new course developments to pursue over the next few years.
    08/12/08: Operational Technology (OpTech) – A winning combination
    The Operational Technology Graduate Certificate is one of several certificates being offered by the Air Force Institute of Technology. Air Force Material Command recently announced it was providing 12 competitive scholarships for the OpTech Graduate Certificate 2008-2009 program.
    08/11/08: From AFIT CESS Classrooms to Deployment Use
    Having just returned from a year long deployment to Afghanistan, AFIT/CESS Dean Col Barry Mines was able to see first hand how student graduates from the AFIT Civil Engineer and Services School were able to put to use the skills they acquired through some of the school's classes.
    07/15/08: AFIT to host first-ever Heritage Symposium
    The event offers AFIT and the Wright-Patterson AFB community a chance to look back at AFIT’s amazing accomplishments during its historic past and to celebrate AFIT’s long tradition of academic and research excellence. Symposium attendees will be able to take a glimpse into AFIT’s exciting future and hear how AFIT is preparing today to meet the new challenges of tomorrow.
    07/14/08: Airfield Damage Repair “ADR”
    The AFIT Civil Engineer and Services School pavement engineers have been actively involved in the tri-service ADR Modernization Working Group over the past few years to provide inputs and stay on top of the emerging technologies.
    07/14/08: Interns and Research Assistants: The Heart of a Center’s Research Capability
    Research assistants and the Directed Energy Summer Interns program are two examples of CDE’s execution of its tri-fold focus on research, education, and innovation, and directly support the AFIT mission and vision. CDE research efforts also deliver high quality products to the tri-service DoD DE community.
    07/14/08: AFIT/LS provides briefing to AF Life Cylce Logistics Workforce Reconstitution Focus Team
    The Sustainment Curriculum Portfolio Program acts as the focal point for the creation of a comprehensive digital storage space for AF logistics and sustainment education and training. The SCP program consists of the three dedicated personnel located at AFIT's School of Systems and Logistics.
    06/24/08: AFIT and Center for Cyberspace Research designated the Air Force Cyberspace Technical Center of Excellence
    On June 19, 2008, the Secretary and Chief of Staff of the Air Force designated the Air Force Institute of Technology and the Center for Cyberspace Research as the Air Force’s Cyberspace Technical Center of Excellence.
    06/23/08: AFIT Graduates Class of June 2008
    Seventy-two scientists, engineers, and management specialists are the recipients of graduate and doctoral degrees from the Air Force Institute of Technology. AFIT's Graduate School of Engineering and Management held its June 2008 graduation ceremony Thursday, 19 June, in the Institute's Kenney Auditorium. The graduating class was awarded 66 master's degrees and six doctorates.
    06/12/08: AFIT professor receives Captain P.V.H. Weems Award
    AFIT's Advanced Navigation Technology Center professor Dr. Peter Maybeck was honored at the IEEE/ION Position Location and Navigation Symposium (PLANS) in Monterey, CA, with the “Captain P.V.H. Weems Award” for his lifelong accomplishments in navigation education and research.
