Nuclear 150: Nuclear Enterprise Orientation Course

The objective of the Nuclear Enterprise Orientation Course is to provide attendees with a broad overview of the USAF nuclear enterprise. The course includes the following topics: Nuclear Weapons Management; Stockpile Guidance and Life Cycle Planning; Nuclear Surety (PRP, Nuclear Security, Nuclear Weapons Safety, AF Nuclear Weapon System Safety, Mishap Prevention and Reporting); AF Nuclear Operations; Nuclear Community and Nuclear Oversight. Course objectives are met through high-level briefings and discussion of nuclear weapons management issues, the DoD/AF nuclear surety program, AF nuclear operations, nuclear security concepts, and nuclear safety/surety oversight. Nuclear 150 is geared toward personnel engaged directly in, or supporting, nuclear weapons and nuclear weapon system product support, acquistion, sustainment, logistics, maintenance, or operations activities who have little or no nuclear experience and require an introductory/executive level overview of the Air Force Nuclear Enterprise. This course is a mobile education team delivered course presented in a two day lecture/discussion format. The course can be tailored in terms of time and topics depending on requester's needs or desires.

Upon Completion of the course, students will be able to:
  1. Recognize the basic concepts related to: nuclear weapons, stockpile management, nuclear surety, and nuclear operations for deterrence.
