LtCol Christopher Horsfall

Lieutenant Colonel Christopher D. Horsfall is the Commander, 2d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, the largest squadron in Air Force Global Strike Command. He directs the maintenance efforts of more than 750 Airmen, spanning 14 Air Force Specialty Codes to guarantee the safe, secure, and reliable aircraft maintenance of 48 B-52Hs valued at $4.2B. Lieutenant Colonel Horsfall ensures a heightened state of readiness for Airmen under his command to support both global conventional and Emergency War Order mission taskings anytime, anywhere.

Lieutenant Colonel Horsfall graduated from Virginia Tech in 2006 and commissioned as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. His assignments include a variety of staff and wing level positions at Headquarters U.S. Air Force and bases in Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Nevada, and South Korea. He has supported a diverse mission set to include fighters, C2ISR, combat rescue, and executive airlift while serving in five Major Commands. Lieutenant Colonel Horsfall has deployed in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, RESOLUTE SUPPORT, and FREEDOM’S SENTINEL.

Prior to his current position, Lieutenant Colonel Horsfall served as the Chief of Plans, Combat Air Forces Division, Deputy Chief of Staff Plans and Programs, Headquarters Air Force, Arlington, Va.
