Mr. Dan Hatchel is a Course Director and Instructor at the Air Force Institute of Technology's School of Systems and Logistics, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. He is an advisor to senior staff on current logistics issues, including the development and evaluation of courses and faculty performance. Additionally, he orchestrates day-to-day operations for the creation, execution, and evaluation of logistics courses for both live and distance learning venues. Moreover, he is a liaison for student/faculty issues, curriculum development, and budgeting and faculty issues.
Dan is a 1999 graduate of Southern Illinois University and a 2002 graduate of Webster University. He has served as Flight Commander at numerous Logistics Readiness Squadrons, Chief of Theater plans at USAFE and as an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at the University of Kansas. Additionally, he was deployed as the Commander of an LRS during OIF 1, as the lead for a mentor team for the Forward Support Depots in Afghanistan as part of the Combined Security Transition Command, Security Assistance Office-Afghanistan and as the senior logistician for the Western Region of Afghanistan under US Forces Afghanistan.
