Ryan S. Fisher is a Logistics subject matter expert (SME) at the Air Force Institute of Technology’s School of Systems and Logistics (AFIT/LS), Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.  He is a course director and instructor for operational logistics and supply chain management courses in the Department of Logistics Management.  Additionally, he orchestrates day-to-day operations for the creation, execution, and evaluation of logistics courses for both live and distance learning venues.  Furthermore, he is a liaison for student/faculty issues, including academic advising, curriculum development, budgeting and grading.

Mr. Fisher enlisted in the Air Force in the Air Transportation career field.  His assignments include the 86th Contingency Response Group (CRG), Ramstein AB, GE where he deployed many times in support of ALLIED FORCE, ATLAS RESPONSE, ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.  He was later the Unit Joint Inspection Program Manager at the USAF Expeditionary Center.  After commissioning, he entered the Logistic Readiness Officer career field and served as a Flight Commander for the Mobile Aerial Port at the 817th CRG and Materiel Management at the 1st Special Operations Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS), a Squadron Assistant Director of Operations for the 817th CRG, Director of Logistics for the Air Force Special Operations Air Warfare Center (AFSOAWC) and Logistics Course Director for AFIT.  He deployed many times supporting Air Base Opening concept of operations for the CRG to include the Director of Logistics, Joint Task Force-Port Opening, Port-au-Prince, Haiti in support of Operation UNIFIED RESPONSE.  His final deploymend supported Foreign Military Sales (FMS) operations in Kabul, Afghansitan as the Branch Chief of Air Movement Operations for Combined Security Transition Command, Security Assistance Office-Afghanistan (CSTC-A).

Mr. Fisher retired from active duty in 2018, as a Major, after 20 years of service.
