Distance Learning is spreading our expertise beyond the walls of the AFIT campus. Currently, several graduate certificate programs, as well as master's degree programs, are offered via DL.
Active duty military (including Reserve Component members on orders), DoD civilians, full-time U.S. Government employees, defense industry employees and Homeland Security industry employees are eligible to apply to AFIT graduate programs.
Defense and Homeland Security industry employees who are accepted to AFIT must comply with 10 U.S.C. § 9314a in that continued enrollment at AFIT is contingent upon providing proof of employment with a qualifying defense or homeland security industry employer for each subsequent period of enrollment at the AFIT Graduate School.
Students with a high-speed internet connection and a telephone can participate in AFIT DL programs. Most work is done asynchronously as we try to minimize conflicts with your primary job. Furthermore, all students must maintain the eligibility to attend. Change of service, position, or employment status may affect a student's ability for continued enrollment.
