Dr. Douglas D. Hodson

Professor of Computer Engineering

Research Interests

Research interests include software engineering principles as applied to modeling and simulation application development.  This includes software or simulation frameworks to construct applications for both discrete-event and real-time, interactive applications.  Within this domain, my research interest includes distributed simulations including both parallel and discrete-event simulation (PDES) techniques and geographically separated virtual environments.

Research interests also include the use of simulation as both an experimental apparatus and supporting infrastructure to augment testing.

Dr Hodson is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
