Profile of Alum Dr. Mikel Miller in Inside GNSS

AFIT  alum Dr. Mikel Miller (PhD Electrical Engineering, 1998 and MS Electrical Engineering, 1987) is profiled in an article titled " Mikel Miller: Science, Service, and Family" in the September/October 2016 edition of  Inside GNSS.  Dr. Miller is the Chief Scientist, Munitions Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL).

In the article, Dr. Miller talks about his time as a PhD student and then professor at AFIT where he worked with Dr. John Raquet and helped to create the Advanced Navigation Technology (ANT) Center.

Dr. Miller said, &ldquo We brought a much more hands-on education environment for students using actual PNT equipment such as inertial instruments, GPS receivers and Alt-Nav devices such as cameras,&rdquo he says. &ldquo I&rsquo m fortunate now to serve as the ANT Center&rsquo s Chair for their Distinguished Review Board (DRB), which meets annually to review existing efforts and their plans for the future.&rdquo
