Research Interests
Lt Col Foster has a broad scientific interest. His passion lies in nuclear and plasma physics, with primary research areas being pulsed power, radiation effects on electronics, and nuclear weapon effects. Other research interests include nuclear reactor physics, computational plasma physics, and fusion power, especially with ignition from a pulsed power source. With his broad leadership background, he is keen on building professional, resilient, and highly capable scientific teams to maintain and improve US national security.
