Master Sergeant Sean T. Loveland is the First Sergeant for the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. As the First Sergeant, he advises the Commander on all matters concerning the health, morale, welfare, professional development and readiness of assigned military and civilian personnel. He also provides guidance and leadership to those personnel with an emphasis on core values, mentorship, counseling, customs & courtesies, and dress & appearance. His duties include providing professional guidance and monitoring administrative actions, performance reports, awards, decorations, promotions, and professional military education.
MSgt Loveland enlisted in the Air Force in November 2005. Upon completion of basic training, he attended technical training at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas and graduated from the Cryptologic Language Analyst Course in September 2007 then the Fusion Analyst Course in July 2015. Following technical training, he held several positions as language analyst, technical training instructor, watch supervisor, noncommissioned officer in charge, and flight chief at bases in California, Maryland, Texas, Nebraska, and Republic of Korea.
MSgt Loveland has deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, Operation INHERENT RESOLVE, Operation FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, and Operation ALLIES REFUGE. Prior to his current position, MSgt Loveland was First Sergeant, 88th Security Forces Squadron, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
