Mr. Farmer was born in 1961 and raised in Orlando Florida.  He attended college at Florida State University studying Business Management.  He joined the AF after college, started as an Aircraft Maintenance officer and soon transitioned into the acquisition community.  He left Active Duty after 10 years, spent about 5 years as a KPMG consultant and joined AFIT as a GS-13 Civil Servant instructor at AFIT.  He completed two Master's degrees, one in Operations Managment, the other in Logistics Management.   He became a certified Project Managment Professional and is certified at Level III in the AF's APDP program in both PM and Acq Log.   He is now the Department Head of AFIT's Systems Acquisition department.
