Mr. Joseph Mitchell is an instructor for Cyber Professional Continuing Education for the Air Force Institute of Technology’s School of Strategic Force Studies at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. As an instructor, he provides cyberspace operations education to students attending Cyber 200 and Cyber 300.  

Prior to joining AFIT in 2020, Joe retired from the United States Air Force as a cyberspace operations officer after 14 years of service. He has also served as an instructor supervisor for the Radio Frequency Transmission Systems course at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, where he was recognized as a Master Instructor. In addition to instructing, Joe has experience in radio maintenance, satellite communications, intrusion detection systems, technical writing, and emergency management.
