Maj Angie Cox


Major Angie M. Cox is an Instructor of Cyber Security at the Air Force Institute of Technology, School of Systems and Logistics. The Air Force Institute of Technology produces twenty seven thousand students annually. Angie is responsible for Cyber continuing education and the delivery of online courses and material for the Department of Defense's Avionics Cyber Vulnerabilities, Assessment, Mitigation and Protections. She collaborates with Major Commands and Secretary of the Air Force sponsors on curriculum updates, influencing twelve thousand United States Air Force and Space Force Engineers, Cyber and Program Management workforce. She leads course discussions, lectures, oversees assessments, and researches new content providing classes to seven diverse career fields. She conducts consultations and consulting with Cyber and Acquisitions programs on new techniques, tactics and classifications. Her school, Systems and Logistics, is the United States Air Force’s premier provider in continuing education delivered to seventeen thousand students a year through in-residence, distance learning and on-site instruction.

Major Cox was born in Tawas City, Michigan. In 1997, she enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Cryptographic Maintenance Technician and worked in fields of Computers, Switching, Networks and Instruction for nine years. Later, in 2009, she went off to commission from Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at University of West Florida, Pensacola, Florida as a Computer Science Graduate and a Communications and Cyber Officer. Major Cox has had multiple deployments supporting peacekeeping operations, counter-narcotic, counter-insurgency and counter-terror missions.
