Natasha D. Ford is the Department Head, Academic Partnerships, School of Strategic Force Studies, Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. She is responsible for planning, programing, budgeting, and executing (PPBE) the department’s resources. Ms. Ford also directs and evaluates academic research projects, and oversees the achievement of the department’s strategic and operational long-term goals to implement advanced education for the nuclear command, control, communication community, and related career fields. Ms. Ford will also serve as the senior advisor to the Dean of the School of Strategic Force Studies.
Ms. Ford entered government service with the Air Force as an Information Technology Trainee summer hire in the Communications and Information career field for the Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command Requirements Directorate, selected to progress through college student STEP and SCEP trainee programs. Ms. Ford was appointed as a Palace Acquire Intern for the AFMC Intelligence Squadron and attended Basic Communications Officer Training at Keesler AFB, MS. Upon graduating from the Palace Acquire Internship program, she began her excepted service appointment in the AFMC Intelligence Squadron. Ms. Ford was responsible for the AFMC Intelligence community’s information technology resources and responsible for the Squadron’s cybersecurity footprint as the Information Systems Security Officer.
Prior to her current assignment, Ms. Ford was the acting Chief, Special Missions Branch, Air Force Security Assistance and Cooperation Directorate, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright- Patterson AFB, Ohio. She provided technical management and leadership for the Air Force Foreign Military Sales logistics, financial, and case management programs.
