    The D'Azzo Research Library facility will be closed on Monday, 26 May 2025, in observation of the Memorial Day Federal Holiday.

    Normal library hours resume on 27 May.

  • Upcoming Class on Search Strategies

    Elizabeth Irvine, AFIT Research Librarian, will be conducting a presentation on Research Skills: Search Strategies.  

    Research skills are crucial for students to effectively conduct research and find credible information. These skills empower library users to locate, evaluate, and utilize information from various sources contributing to academic success.  During this instructional session, Ms. Irvine will present how to search databases using Boolean terms, parentheses, truncation and more. Come to review strategies, practice writing effective search queries, and start finding the articles you really need!

    To enhance collaboration, the Library has a table that can connect devices for a large display in a workspace environment.  This is located up on the 3rd floor of the library.

    From 02 May 2022, the Library has these regular operating hours:

    0800 to 1700, Monday to Friday.


    The Library is closed on weekends and Federal holidays.

    The A-to-Z Databases page is a directory of the AFIT Library resources.  Full access to the subscription resources will require an Off-campus Access login if you are not on the AFIT.edu network or VDI equivalent.

  • Remote Access to D'Azzo Research Library (AFIT-only)

    Need access to library resources at home or while on temporary assignment?  AFIT students, faculty and staff can access several of the library's databases and full-text journals off campus with the library's remote access passwords.  Click  for more!


    Update for users 2025-May:   The Library's remote access system has changed.  Resident AFIT students, faculty, and staff will have activations in their AFIT mail.
