• Team leader of 16 individuals responsible for an average $8M annual research budget
  • Coordinated with other DoD, Service, AF and AFRL agencies to validate requirements, transition technology and coordinate research efforts
  • Research portfolio designed to enhance medical readiness in CBRN or extreme environments
  • Successful demonstration of C-17 COVID disinfection capability
  • Enhancing aircraft crew and patient safety while optimizing aircraft disinfection capability
  • Optimization of low level chemical detection
  • Chemical operations optimization for Pacific Combatant Commands

• COVID Hot air disinfection working group leader, directly supporting TRANSCOM and working with Air Mobility Command and aircraft program offices to develop safe transport of COVID patients.

2007-2009 – CBRN Defense Technologies Demonstration Manager, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Ft Belvoir, VA

• Managed Chemical/Biological division experimentation efforts
• Division liaison to Joint Requirements Office, Joint Program Executive, Combatant Commands and Combat Developers
• Managed several multi-million-dollar technology demonstrations to improve decontamination capabilities

2004-2007 – Chief, Counter-Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High-Yield Explosives (C-CBRNE) Division, Air Force Nuclear Weapons and Counterproliferation Agency, Pentagon

• Supervised 36-member team responsible for operational interpretation of C-CBRNE studies and development of C-CBRNE Concepts of Operations
• Led Operational Effectiveness Assessment of Al-Udeid Air Base to identify and mitigate CBRN vulnerabilities
• Revised Air Force standards for residual chemical weapons hazard, and established safe operational parameters for operations involving contaminated equipment

2003-2004 – US/UK Biological Warfare Defense Liaison, Porton Down, UK

• Developed biological detection capabilities for the Smallpox virus
• Characterized 30 strains of the Anthrax bacteria
• Assisted with deployment and training of UK forces participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom

2000-2003 – Chief, Chemical/Biological Warfare Team, Central MASINT Organization, Technology Coordination Office, FL

• Managed a team of 22 personnel responsible for 35 NBC programs with a budget of $39 million
• Programs produced hardware utilized by UN weapons inspectors in Iraq, and detection capabilities used in response to the 2001 Anthrax attacks
• Organized multiple events to integrate Federal, DoD and Intelligence chemical and biological detection efforts
