Karleine Justice received the B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (with a minor in Mathematics) from the University of Idaho, M.S. in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Wright State University, and an M.B.A in Project Management from Wright State University. She spent the last 12 years providing project management expertise with extensive proposal and grant writing. She has over 20 years of research-based modeling and simulation experience while actively mentoring and conducting operations research and data analytics.
In her current role as Research Grants Engineer, she supports the Dean for Research and Outreach as the Office of Research and Technology Applications (ORTA) technology transfer (T2) lead. In this capacity, she negotiates and executes on the order of 7-10 T2 agreements a month for the more than 500 faculty and staff located at AFIT. These agreements consist of Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA), Information Transfer Agreements (ITAs), and Patent License Agreements (PLAs) to name a few.
Ms. Justice supports AFIT faculty, staff, students, and contractors with invention disclosures and patent applications. She also supports the Director of Sponsored Programs with the proposal review and pre-award process.
