BS, Aerospace Engineering, University of Minnesota, 2003; MS, Research and Development Management, Air Force Institute of Technology, 2008; MS, Astronautical Engineering, Air Force Institute of Technology, 2008; PhD, Astronautical Engineering, Air Force Institute of Technology, 2023. Lt Col Derbis’ research interests include astrodynamics, space situational awareness, orbit design, and cislunar / multi-body systems. Her recent research is focused on space situational awareness within cislunar, applying artificial intelligence. She teaches courses in analytical dynamics and numerical orbit design. She is a member of Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu, and Sigma Gamma Tau honor societies.
