MikeE. Miller, Professor of Systems Engineering
How can we model the performance of human-machine systems? How can we design systems to become better partners, considering the environment and our current state? Can we design visual display systems to further enhance the transfer of information from systems to our brains? I attack these three questions everyday, taking advantage of my experience in product design from nearly 20 years at IBM and Eastman Kodak Company. As a result my research focuses primarily on applying principles from systems engineering and human factors to derive and better understand novel system solutions.
