Lt Col Sean Mcconville, Assistant Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Lt Col Sean McConville is C-17A Weapons Officer and Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the Air Force Institute of Technology. Lt Col McConville earned his doctorate in Logistics Systems at the University of North Texas (UNT), in Denton Texas. While attending UNT, he focused his studies on developing an analytical framework for quantifying the value of incentive alignment in distribution systems.

Lt Col McConville entered the Air Force in 2005 as a Distinguished Graduate of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program at Purdue University.  He has commanded combat airlift missions in Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn, to include 14 combat airdrops. In 2016, he served as the lead planner and mission commander for the advent of C-17 operations into Syria. He has authored several seminars about those operations and remains a passionate advocate for the importance of a robust and agile military logistics network.
