Major Jacob D. Maywald earned his commissioned in 2011 from the Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, AL and is a career Logistics Readiness Officer. He earned a Master’s of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from AFIT in 2016 and holds a Doctorate in Logistics Systems from the University of North Texas, Denton. From 2006 to 2011, Maj Maywald served as an enlisted ground radio operator assigned to the 43rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, deploying in support of several operations including Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, and Operation UNIFIED RESPONSE. In 2011, he received his commission through Officer Training School, subsequently serving as a logistics readiness officer with operational assignments as Material Management and Fuels Management flight commanders, chief of the 635th Supply Chain Operations Wing’s analytics division, and deputy director of Special Operations Command Central’s forward logistics division (in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE). Prior to his current position, he was the Director of Operations, 435th Supply Chain Operations Squadron, Scott AFB, IL.
