Lt Col Jesse Wales, PhD

Assistant Professor, Operations Research

Lieutenant Colonel Jesse Wales is the Military Deputy and an Assistant Professor of Operations Research in the Department of Operational Sciences at the Air Force Institute of Technology. He served as a physicist in the Air Force Research Laboratory and as an instructor at Officer Training School. As an operations research analyst, he served at the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center, Air Force Inspection Agency, and the Strategy Division of the Combined Air Operations Center.  Lt Col Wales holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Texas at Austin, a master’s degree in operations research from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a doctoral degree in operations research with engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
